Hello there,

So I'm used to have my speakers plugged in at the back of my motherboard, for normal usage. If I play games, I put on headphones and use the front audio plug. Normally it changes the audio output to my headphones when I plug them in, and back to my speakers when I take my headphones out.

But that was until a few days ago. Now it works when I plug my headphones in, but when I take them out, there won't come any audio trough the speakers. It also doesn't say that the headphones were taken away, usually it does. If I plug them back in, the audio trough the headphones just works.

Normally when I put the headphones in, the (annoying) MSI audio configuring window comes up to ask what I connected, where I always say "headphones" and click OK. Sometimes now, it doesn't do that anymore, so I think my computer keeps thinking they are plugged in (?).

Also, I tried putting the speakers trough the front audio port, but then the window came up every 2-3 seconds asking what I plugged in, over and over again.

I know it's quite confusing and stuff, but I still hope someone can help, thanks!

I bet your front panel jack is worn out.

After 2 months already? Is there any simple replacement possible then?

what case is it? I have noticed some case manufactures sell the front audio usb board separately (lian li do I think) and I heard another company has had issues and they were being fixed under warranty.  Might have to google for that one though I can't remember were I read it.

Yup, also it's 3 months instead of 2, typo there.

I've contacted Fractal Design about it, I'm gonna wait for their response :)

A little thing I had to ask as well, when I plug my headphones in, the sound plays in my headphones but also trough my speakers. If I pull my headphones out the screen pops up asking if I plugged them in... (not always, but a lot of the times). I then don't select anything and stop that program with the task manager because if I just click okay, the sound on my speakers falls away. It's all really confusing, but I want to be sure it's not a software problem before doing anything else.

Honestly, I don't know. Someone else might have an idea of what your issue is, but you might also want to try asking the Troubleshooting subforum.

What you what is to set your speaker as default device and your headset as your default communication device and don't unplug them where your not using them, just mute the sound of your headset or you can try something like a speaker switch box where you connect both devices to it and connect the box to your computer using the 3.5 jacks.

Here something I mean http://www.amazon.co.uk/Konig-Audio-Headset-Loudspeaker-Switch/dp/B000WCNF2G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384720755&sr=8-1&keywords=plantronics+switch

with fractal, I've had issues with the jacks being recessed.

is the speaker/headphone plug touching the case? or are they able to be fully pressed in?

Will work for electronic components and parts

It inserts as usual, I did notice the headphone port is a little bit more loose than it was before.
