SSD MTL TLC help needed

Trying to buy an SSD 

via 6gb 

not m.2 or mvne 

 

Figured that I should buy a 480 GB but then was conflicted between which kind

 

For a moderate gamer and college student, should I grab a budget TLC SSD or opt for the more pricey MLC for an 1100USD Build 

 

Budget no more than 150 USD

 

will be adding a 2 TB storage drive as the SSD will be my boot drive. 

 

Appreciated if ya'll provide some explanation too...

You won't wear out a 2D TLC drive with normal usage, and the performance difference in the real world isn't really noticeable.

 

But sometimes a 3D TLC drive is priced close enough to be worth considering. Sometimes even an MLC drive. All depends on pricing.

the MLC SSD that I was looking at was the PNY 480gb for 130USD, good price ?

The CS1111? Not seen any reviews of it so I can't say if that's worth it. But I'd probably go for the 525GB Crucial MX300 instead. It's ~14 bucks more, but comes with a few extra gigs of space and 3D TLC.

MX300 525GB, SU800, or 850 PRO are good choices.
