Hey all,

I recently got back into CSGO and noticed that i'm getting unusually low FPS -- between 150 and 200.  I can understand being CPU limited, but I used to max out at 300fps when I had my AMD 7950.  Surely, with the 1080 and the same CPU, I should get at least as much FPS.  I tried at both 1080p and 1440p with no difference.

Are there any tweaks I should look at, or is this due to a game update?  I already set Max FPS to 0 in order to remove the FPS cap...

Thanks.

This doesn't help, but I too have seen issues with CSGO and frame rates.

Do you happen to know if your CPU is being fully utilized? If you can check that maybe it might point us in a direction.

My own personal experience with this lately:

I was getting large fluctuations in fps 110-180 with about 75% at most on any core. Then suddenly last week it was 230-288 and now I am back to 110-180. I never found out the reason for the change up or down.

Lately, CPU usage hovers around 65-75% and GPU around 55-65%.  I just reinstalled windows and am in the process of setting up all my games.  I'll report back with results once CSGO is up and running.
