i usually use DiskPart like @ARikozuM said, or DBaN.

just make sure, especially with DiskPart, that you select the correct drive.

basically the same thing. using diskpart will clean the drive and format it, basically what youve already done. and good enough to get rid of viruses(with some exceptions).
