Wiping a HDD

So i have 2 HDD's that i new to wipe clean completely(they possibly have some viruses)-Whats the best way to delete everything located in them so they are safe to use in my new PC

Diskpart.

 

Win + R

"cmd"

"diskpart"

Click yes if a prompt shows up.

"list disk"

"select disk #"

"clean all"

i usually use DiskPart like @ARikozuM said, or DBaN.

just make sure, especially with DiskPart, that you select the correct drive.

Yeah i already formated it. I dont really care about someone getting the info because i will be using the HDD's im just afraid that the viruses will stay.So should i Diskpart it or is formating safe.

basically the same thing. using diskpart will clean the drive and format it, basically what youve already done. and good enough to get rid of viruses(with some exceptions).

if you're really worried, DBaN

We always use KillDisk but this might be a bit to heavy if you wan't to reuse the drive.
