Can't remove read only windows 7 ultimate

Just made a fresh install of Windows on my pc, and I can't remove the read only on my C: drive (It's on an SSD).
I've tried unchecking it. I've tried the answer given here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/cant-remove-read-only-attrubutes/18dbe910-4511-4794-80a0-f3f60251090a We've tried the answer given here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326549 And I just can't get it to work... Any ideas?

I'm confused about the flag on C:, because you cannot mark an entire drive as read-only, only folders or files within it. What folders have the read-only attribute?
