so i was looking at the new products on Pccasegear and saw the intel 4771?

and this was interesting because from my understanding the 4770/4770k Cpu was the mainstream flagship thing.

so what is this?

Nope. The Intel Core i7 4771 is a 4770 with the same clocks as a 4770K Stock.

Why not get a 4770k then?

The Intel Core i7 4771 is basically a 4770 running at the clock speed of a stock 4770K and is not a unlocked chip.
