Hey guys i am bulding a new pc and i wasn't sure about my decisions so i decided to ask you guys about it.

My build right now is:

I5 7600k

1060 6gb msi

4gb ×2 ddr4 crosair vengence 2400mhz

Msi pcmate z270

700w crosair smps

250gb samsung 850evo

Sedion 120v coolmaster liquid cooler

I am not sure about the case yet.....

I have some questions reguarding the specs.

Q1. Is my build is good or not?

Q2. Is my smps is sufficient or too much according the build?

Q3. 1060 6gb good or not?

Q3. Which 1080p monitor should i buy?

Q4. Is ryzen is better choice than i5 7600k?

Things to ponder:-

I am a animator. The softwares i am going to use are after affects, nuke and a lot of high end animation softwares. I am going play a lot of games for example watchdogs 2, witcher 3, doom and a alot more. But i am not going to play online more than 2 hour a day. I can't go too much over in budget than this. I am going to overclock. And thanks in advance. :)

A1. Yes It's good.

A2. fml I don't know what that is.

A3.Yep.

A3(2). Something that's within your budget and has 1-3ms response time. Just make sure it's good. I can't suggest one since I'm not good with monitors.

A4. Ryzen 5 1600X is the best Ryzen 5. But is about $249 USD. If not that and you want a cheaper one, Get the Ryzen 1600 Or Ryzen 1500X (sacrificing 2 cores and 4 threads on the 1500X.) But the 1500X is only $189 AUD

Ryzen 5 3600

RX 590 8GB

WD Blue 1TB

(full specs on profile)

2: Why a 7600k? If you are going to stick with intel don't even consider water cooling unless you've already moved into i7 territory. Get a locked i7 with stock cooler and it will perform better than the i5 most of the time, and about equal and losing in equal parts of the the remainder of the scenarios... but the i5 + water cooling will cost you more than the i7. I thought content creators benefited from more threads and more ram (8gb is cutting it if you will perform many simultaneous operations)? Is this not the case for you (the more threads portion of the last question)?

3: Never get an AIO that only has one fan... you'd want at least a 240mm rad to see the cooling benefit past the 10 minute mark of operation.

4: I don't know anything about that 700w PSU unless you provide a link... PCPartPicker would be great.

5: I hope you have a spare HDD you can throw in this computer or else you'll be in trouble. 240 GB is not enough.

6: What is your budget?

CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.7 GHz

GPU: XFX GTS RX580 4GB

Cooling: Corsair h100i

Mobo: Asus z97-A

RAM: 4x8 GB 1600 MHz Corsair Vengence

PSU: Corsair HX850

Case: NZXT S340 Elite Tempered glass edition

Display: LG 29UM68-P

Keyboard: Roccat Ryos MK FX RGB

Mouse: Logitech g900 Chaos Spectrum

Headphones: Sennheiser HD6XX

OS: Windows 10 Home

ok so first off a 700 watt power supply is way overkill for that build as power consumption probably wont ever go over 400watts so i would go with a 550 watt just to leave some headroom. as for the cpu i would say looking into how much animation can teh type of work you are doing can use multiple cores because a 4 core 4 thread cpu will hinder your performance if it is a good multi-threaded application. tbh i would get the r7 1700 and just run it on the stock cooler as it will be much better in muti-threaded performance and it will save money on the cpu cooler that you are going for with Intel and likely be around the same cost.

well, its enough but the psu itself is bullshit so i'd change to cx650m (grey branded) or seasonic s12ii 620w

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...

PC Specs                   PCPartpicker full performance builds (from350$-1250$)

Q3. it's good. see if the rx 480 8gb is cheaper, they trade blows in games now.

Q4. if you're getting a new monitor, get one with freesync support and an rx 480 8gb instead to enjoy the smoothness with adaptive sync.

Q5. since you're doing video editing, ryzen will be a much better choice than the i5.

what's your country and budget?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
