Upgrading windows XP to 7

Hello! My dad has an "old" computer running windows XP. We are planing to upgrade to windows 7 and I just want to check if these specs can handle windows 7.

Genuie Intel T2050 @ 1.60GHz
2GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300

Id will run 7, but you might as well run windows 10.

If you want it to be fast, id keep xp or put linux on it.

It should work but, I highly suggest you to buy a whole new pc. I know not everybody has the cash to do that, but I think you will do yourself and your dad a favor.

I agree with @matzeesch, Its hard to know if there are drivers for the newer versions of Windows. Keep in mind, that the manufacture most likely doesn't offer drivers for Win 7, which means you have to hope that generic Windows drivers will work.
