So I got myself a new pc and I decided to use parts from old pc to create myself a little home server cause I needed one a lot. Idk can this handle Windows Home Server 2011. I need that server for : linking my WD Cloud to Plex, Printer Server, Storaging bought programs like Windows, Adobe, Office..., FTP server and many more. I looked up and my old CPU is a power hungry so I took out GPUs and activated onboard. Can It handle my requirments with low power usage :\ ?

My new home server:

CPU: AMD A8-3870K

MB: Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H

GPU: Onboard GPU

RAM: 8 GB DDR3@1333 MHz

HDD: 2x WD Purple 6 TB

PSU: Chieftec 80+ Bronze 400W

Case: Chieftec BX-02B-B-B

My Rig : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MTBd2R

My VM Server : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rPR6gL

My Backup Server : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cRQYYr

My Storage Server : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tzzR9W

My Router : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bMPN4C

My Laptop : Lenovo Z575 with 6 GB RAM (1866 MHz), Crucial MX300 525 GB & Western Digital 2 TB (Removed optical drive)

The AMD processor sucks out power, but still, this will work.

This will work for your build.  However, I would still recommend a newer operating system.  I personally run Windows Server 2016 Datacenter and this will fulfill all your needs and more.  I got mine setup as a domain controller and Plex storage server in a matter of an hour.  My server has been running with a total of 6TB of redundant fast storage all while running virtual machines and has been very stable since it was deployed.

If you'd like any assistance with this let me know as it seems your needs are somewhat similar to mine.

If you are looking to buy a legitimate Windows Server 2016 licence on the cheap take a look here:

I have personally used this seller and can say that I am very satisfied.

Ok I got installed Win Server 2012 R2 Essentials (WHS 2011 had some problems) It seems way better than WHS 2011 and I will get domain set up and then other things. I got Win Server license from a friend. And thanks for reply :)

No problem.  Good luck with your endeavors.  Windows server 2012 is another solid choice (I use it at work when I work on older projects) Although you may not need all the functionality of server 2016 datacenter it is definitely one to keep in mind especially considering you can pick it up for under £10 and with the datacenter edition you can have unlimited windows server virtual machines licenced under it for free
