Windows 8.1 Time

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

Time.nist.gov should be a good server. The main issue is Windows only syncs time every week, not every time the computer is powered on.

Currently running Windows 8.1 Pro on a laptop and everytime I switch on the computer, the time is out. I believe this is to do with the fact I don't have a functional battery for the laptop.

When adjusting the time & date, I found an option for internet time. So my question is there a server to automatically sync my laptop time to Malaysian (GMT+8) time. All of the servers listed do nothing

IDK if it's on WIndows 8.1 but WIndows 10 allows time to be synced manually at the user's discretion.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Yah, you can manually sync in 8 and 7 as well. I'm not sure if there is a command line argument that can cause it to sync though, which could be put into a .bat file and executed at boot.
