Hey all, I have a laptop I use (Which I currently am using) To play games, discord (not at same time now because i simply cant) It is pretty old but It's been running fine.

But now Whenever I play a game or use Chrome,Steam and discord (open at once since I talk to people) The battery goes from plugged in, to charging (on battery) back and forth back and forth. And then sooner or later it makes me crash... It's really annoying since I'm trying to play games (Like Garry's mod which usually runs fine, with like over 55fps)

My laptop model is Asus N61JQ. any help is appreciated :)

Remove the battery when playing? Can you use a different outlet or charger to see if those could cause the issue?

Check if the wall outlet could be the issue (doubt it) and can you physically remove the battery when you're trying to multi-task?

Wall outlet isn't the cause.

Most laptop still functions with battery removed while the power plugged in. Which laptop btw? If different outlet doesn't work then bye bye battery

So the battery has worn out by half

You sure it doesn't work while plugging and with battery removed? That's really really really really really really odd, even my old HP G50 with Win Vista can
