Hi, so i want to set up a build for myself with playing game intended.

My budget is 1000 ~ 1200 USD.

Please help me out if you have a decent build with the price range. I prefer intel more than ryzen (i'm not used to this ryzen system so i would prefer to stay safe).

Thank you.

1. What resolution do you intend to play at?
2. What frequency will your panel refresh at? (hz) and/or how many fps do you wish to get
3. Do you wish to overclock?

4. Do you care for any particular aesthetic?

Thank you!

And thank you too, ZM Fong!

I will definitely dig into these and check out what's best for me.

1) 1080p is good enough for me, I have no intention of going higher. I just play some MMOs, and do some work with photoshop.

2) I am aiming for 100~120 fps with this build. I haven't pick my monitor yet.

3) No, I don't.

4) Maybe, but I don't really care.

Also, I would be damn if you were a girl as I falsely identified your gender by saying "brother" and everyone will tell that I am a sexist

well, if you wish to maintain high framerates on highly CPU intensive games, you're going to want a 7700k and you're going to want to overclock it.... but if you don't mind missing out on 100+ fps in the occasional game here and there, then a locked CPU will do you just fine (most games will still reach that threshold, especially in the games where fps matters more, such as shooters)

well I threw this build together after knowing what @deXxterlab97 put up there. His build will yield more fps. period. if that is what you care about most, then do not look at my build. They are similarly priced and his components are just more powerful. Its worth noting that his build does not come with an SSD of any kind, not that it affects in game performance numbers at all, but will definitely affect the responsiveness of windows navigation and whatnot.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bYDKRG

That being said, for the same price you can get a rig that looks amazing, makes you feel great about your system, and should still be very capable of handling your gaming requirements. again, Dexter's build is objectively more powerful, but this build would also fall into the "close enough" category if you're willing to give up on a bit of performance to get a nicer looking rig. normally I suggest builds like Dexter did (and most other people do) that are function>fashion... but with so many well excellent bang:buck builds in this thread, I figured I would throw something a little more stylish your way in case that was your thing. (if you don't like black/white or TG cases, there are other aesthetic options that could be arranged).
