I have Seagate Laptop Thin HDD, and I just bought a metal (aluminimum I think) backet for SSD and I'm gonna use it for my laptop HDD.

What bother me is, when I put HDD on the bracket, I feel the metal bracket try to 'suck' the magnet inside HDD.

So my Question is : Do I need to put something between my HDD and the bracket? What kind of something may I know?

the real question I ask here is because I had HHD once, same HDD, I put it on the metal bracket and my partition was gone. This one is my brother's, so I dont want to screw this one.

The metal bracket should not attract to the internal HDD magnet. Get a different bracket.

What SSD bracket did you buy? Most of them should not interfere with the magnet.

it's cheap SSD bracket, I asked the seller is it compatible laptop HDD, He said it 'fits' laptop hdd. Sooo.... my bad.

Yes they are compatible with both 2.5" SSD or HDD, they all have to follow the standards. The bracket interfere with the magnet is where it don't make sense, unless you installed the drive upside down.

I have a broken WD blue laptop hdd, it doesnt stick to the bracket if I bring it closer to the bracket. I think it's seagate hds that stick to the bracket.
