Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else already. I'm brand new to overclocking and I don't  wanna fuck my new shit up lol. I have the Ryzen 1700 with a ASUS Crosshair Hero IV. When I try to overclock both my cpu and my ram I can't get it stable past 3.20ghz and my ram isn't stable past 2400mhz(I'm running the latest version of the bios). My goal is to get my cpu to at least 3.8ghz, it does boot at 3.8ghz with ram at 2666, but it crashes when I run aida64. I'm also using a h115i aio from Corsair(using the am3 mounting cause I have no damn clue how to install it with the am4).

That's what I thought, I took it off and reapplied thermal paste and same thing. I know my setup isn't idea, but cooling should be enough with 6 fans (minus the 2 for the aio). The only weird thing for me is that I thought I had it stable at 3.6 for over a day. Played games and ran some test, no issues. Then I turned it off and it didn't wanna boot.
