I personally don't enjoy 9-string guitars, but that doesn't change the fact that they look awesome as hell!

They'd all be running in PCI-E 4x speed if you do (I think), but if you actually want to, I don't see why not.

3-way SLI is the last resort. It would be much better to spend that amount of money on a single better card.

NVIDIA will not allow SLI to be enabled on a PCIe x4 slot, because they are NVIDIA.  You can use HyperSLI to hack around the limitation though.  3-way SLI is not very efficient though, I'd get a more powerful single or dual GPU solution, if it's cost effective to do so as an alternative.
