I've been trying to find some recommendations for a wireless internet solution for our company. We are an RV Park and our current solution is not reliable. We have Hawking Technologies equipment which was around the price we were looking for. However, Have come to realize that was a big mistake. We need to replace a main router with VPN Options to isolate the access points and repeaters from our office computers and we also need to replace an outdoor access point.

Can anyone help?

I know ubiquity has a lot of stuff you might be looking for. I like their router I am using for home use. (it is a business grade router.

As mentioned, Ubiquity is a good brand. You might also look into (depending on your budget) underground direct plenum ethernet or UG direct fibre. Both would allow faster speeds and more customisability in the future (ie: managed switches)

A VPN isn't what you need in order to separate the office from the residents - what you need is to either run two separate LANs (completely separate hardware for each network), or use VLANs on the same hardware (both your switches and your APs have to support this - nearly all devices sold as APs do, as it is a commonly required feature. Switches on the other hand don't unless they are "smart" or "managed" switches.) Once you have the local traffic separated on either different hardware or different VLANs, you just need a router that can handle the two LANs/VLANs seperately and isolate the traffic between them (typically you just create a rule in the firewall of the router preventing the two subnets from communicating with each other.

Looking to buy GTX690, other multi-GPU cards, or single-slot graphics cards:

for example my router has 3 Ethernet ports only (edgerouter light) I have it set to have WAN on eth0 VLAN1 on eth1 and VLAN2(not used) on eth2 with this you don't need VLAN support on your switches (if you use 2 separate ones) and APs(if you have 1 for each VLAN). and as stated firewalls would restrict access. and for your wireless getting a few APs spread around would get you great WIFI coverage.

I actually totally didn't process that he was talking about VLANS when he said that. You all are right, I had assumed that as a business their network manager had already done all that. Derp.

Im going to sound like i work for Ubiquiti with all the recommendations i give them but they make really great products. You should really look into Unifi and the gear they have for situations like these.

This is a guide to setting up a separate guest wifi with a separate VLAN for isolation with Unifi and it couldnt be easier https://www.wemustbegeeks.com/how-to-configure-guest-wifi-with-ubiquiti-edgerouter-and-unifi-access-points/

I would recommend going with ubiquiti unifi. Specifically their UAP Mesh devices. They are great with zero handoff, and are designed for outdoor use. They also have great features like captive portal for clients to sign in and bandwidth limiting. For a router, you would want one of the unifi gateways. They manage things like zero handoff and authentication. They also allow you to create separate networks for guests and staff. That way, they cannot access each other.

My native language is C++
