Upgrade Or Not?

- Budget : less than RM2,000.00 (less is better XD)

- Gaming (Main Usage) : Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Dota 2, Skyrim, Darkess Dungeon Etc
- Media Consumption : Basic Internet, Youtube
- Maybe In The Future : Video Editing

 

3. Monitors

- 1 (Philips LCD 21.5" 223V5LSB2/69)

 

4. Peripherals

- Basic mouse and keyboard
- Windows 7 / 64-bit

 

5. Why are you upgrading?
- To keep my system cool/low temperature when gaming
 

6. Current Specs
PSU - Corsair VS650

GPU - MSI RX480 GAMING X 8G

Case - SEGOTEP LUX (Blue)

CPU - AMD FX8350 (with stock cooler)

MOBO - MSI 970 Gaming

RAM - 4GB DDR3 (basic) x 2
HDD - 1TB
 

7. Problem 

Now, I'm very happy with my setup because I'm not into that  ULTRA HD CURVED 40" DISPLAY ULTIMATE GAMING TEXTURES FETISH, as long as I can play the game smoothly and with a little bit of prettiness is fine by me. Sure Witcher 3 with Ultra settings + NVIDIA HairWorks looks awesome, but I prefer performance rather than image quality. The only thing bothering me is the stock CPU cooler that can't keep up with the AMD, I already cleaned it and apply new thermal paste but still when playing games like Witcher 3 the temperature is above 70 but still below 80. I'm planning to get the Cooler Master Hyper 103 and install 2 more additional fans for exhaust (On Top), now im wondering if there's any other hardware that I should upgrade or add-on for example a SSD. Do i need to upgrade anything else or it is fine to just get that Cooler Master Hyper 103 and 2 fans?

8. Side Note
- I don't Overclock anything, I'm afraid and have little knowledge about overclocking. Stock performance is fine with me.
- I prefer no water cooling because I don't know a thing about water cooling and I'm afraid of leaks. I have a cat and she is very destructive.
- I have no friends, so that's why I'm asking the people on the internet for help. Please?
- I don't really care for RGB or color matching.

Solid system, add an SSD and the H103 is fine. Maybe get a better PSU? The VS series kinda sucks ass.

2. I just bought the PSU , I was planning to buy Corsair CX650M but they only had VS650, nevermind then, maybe i'll upgrade it after this? what should i get?

Sandisk 120GB SSD Plus is a great bootup drive.

850EVO is another alternative, otherwise getting anything cheap near you is a good idea.

List some cheap SSDs in your region, I'll gauge some of them

Adding SSD or changing the PSU (some time later) is fine but the CPU?

Yes. Your current CPU is weak. Even the Pentium G4560 beats it in games performance.
Get G4560/any i5/any i7, new mobo (H110 with updated BIOS or B250, Z170/Z270 for overclocking)
If you don't like Intel, you can wait for AMD Ryzen 3/5 or go for Ryzen 7.
Then, get new DDR4 8GBX1 or 8GBX2 RAM, add SSD, change PSU and your system will be very good.

I've done some research about SSDs in Malaysia. You can get Intel 540S or Transcend MTS820/MTS800 by paying a little more.

Yup, the 850 EVO is the best bang for the buck

CPU - You don't want to overclock and considering you may do video editing, I put a locked i7 instead of Ryzen as you said that your main usage is gaming.
CPU cooler - Cooler Master TX3 Evo and Hyper 103 use sleeve bearing fans so I wouldn't recommend, ID-Cooling products are great yet at a low price. The SE-214C has better thermal performance than the 212 EVO and you can choose the colour you like too.
Mobo - Personally I prefer Asus or Gigabyte. Has 4 RAM slots and M.2 slot future upgrades.

RAM - Cheap, has LED lighting
SSD - The best SATA SSD for your money.
PSU - Cheapest tier 2 PSU in Malaysia, Gold efficiency, semi modular, 5 year warranty, Japan capacitors.

Since your case comes with 3 fans, I do not add any extra fans. If you want more fans, go for Cooler Masre Sickleflow X fans. They are cheap, high performance (high CFM and pressure) , good bearing (which can last longer) and comes with LED lighting.

Anything else? (RM2000 also possible for upgrades, are you sure you want spend RM3000?)
