Controlling An iPhone From PC?

I'm looking to be able to control my iPhone from my PC, i'm just interested in trying it. I tried this back when I had an Andriod (it was an LG v10) and never got it to work. I tried Airdroid which never worked and even the PC's built in mirrorcast function which also didn't work. I didn't think switching to an iPhone would make it at all easier it's not why I switched back to the iPhone so don't accuse me of that ?

 

I'm guessing I would need to jailbreak? If so then i'm going to need instructions because it's been YEARS since I've jailbroken an iPhone, I don't mind doing it though. Thanks guys!
