Currently using integrated graphics?

Max i'd personally go with that pentium is an  rx460 or 1050ti, anything past that won't be worth it due to bottlenecking (in cpu demanding games)

If you can afford to, go to 8gb of ram

PC - CPU Ryzen 5 1600 - GPU Power Color Radeon 5700XT- Motherboard Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming - RAM 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB - Storage 525GB Crucial MX300 SSD + 120GB Kingston SSD   PSU Corsair CX750M - Cooling Stock - Case White NZXT S340

Peripherals - Mouse Logitech G502 Wireless - Keyboard Logitech G915 TKL  Headset Razer Kraken Pro V2's - Displays 2x Acer 24" GF246(1080p, 75hz, Freesync) Steering Wheel & Pedals Logitech G29 & Shifter

True, it'd need a cpu upgrade before any decent gaming can be done on it :P

I'd suggest a used 3570 or 3570k. ($99 on ebay) or an e-1230 v2 Xeon (slighly lower clock but 4 cores/8 threads $113 on e-bay). Just for gaming though, you can get the 3570k well into the 4.7GHz range with a $30 air cooler and a $10 case fan. It is a great chip.
