Why does my hyper x cloud 2 mic sound so low?

Ever since i bought the headset the mic sounds really low. Every single person ive talked with online has told me that it sounds low and its not the program im using to speak with them since ive tried quite a few.

And I also tried installing some firmware that supposedly makes it better but it didnt change anything whatsoever.

The only way for people to hear me is to put the the mic right next to my mouth, probably like a cm away from it and its really annoying.

Does anyone know what I can do or was the headset designed that way in which it has to be significantly close to my mouth.

Btw I bought my brother some cheap logitech headphones and I can even  hear his keyboard and mouse when we speak.

have you adjusted the mic volume in your OS settings?

 

I know it sounds a little basic, but sometimes it gets overlooked 

 

HyperX makes some great stuff, so I doubt it'd be caused by cheap headset problems

Have you gone to the Headset properties in Windows and adjusted the mic gain?
