Does Ryzen Work Better With AMD Gpu's?

No. Maybe when Vega comes out if it lives up to the hype. But right now Nvidia cards are just so much better that even if they are optimized for AMD GPUs they would perform better. 

 

That being said no one is really comparing them with anything less than a 1070 so at the lower end of the graphic cards it might.

Apparently so. Seems like the Nvidia driver isn't amazingly optimized for Ryzen, whereas AMD had the advantage of being able to code the nuances of Ryzen into their driver since the architecture's inception.

 

Whether Nvidia will optimize or not, we'll see. But with Vega the threads where people go "hey is it actually better to go AMD card with AMD CPU" will have a unanimous yes as an answer. That's gotta be a first.

It is still true that the Nvidia driver has more overhead on Ryzen. Look at the video. (1060 vs 480)

It's really hard to say if you should wait. The last demo they did beginning of March was not encouraging, but linus did seem encouraged today on the WAN show, although no details were given. It's certainly not going to be worse than AMD cards now so it's really a can you wait that long, we don't have a confirmed date yet.
