Choice of cables for Corsair 570X?

LainVonDark

Hello.

I am in the market for some nice sleeved cables for my new build, and I was wondering what brand offers some appropriate length cables for this case. My power supply is a Corsair AX1200 (non-i, if it matters).

Thank you

@CableMod offers good cable kits, you can custom design them by color and length using there configurator tool.

Thank you both. I couldn't help but notice however, that the configurator does not work for the EU store. However, I'd rather just buy a kit like this one:

https://eustore.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-st-series-modflex-cable-kit/

However, my PSU is not listed in the compatibility list, only the AX1200i is. Is there any difference in the sockets of these two supplies, or is it simply not there because mine is an older model?

Thanks

Hey @LainVonDark the AXi series does have a different pin out, so they wouldn't be compatible.
We do cables for AX1200 upon request through our configurator only, as it is a lower volume request.

Thank you, @CableMod. However, I can't justify the cost of ordering from overseas just for the cables.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I assume that I can simply buy your DIY kits:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cablemod-modflex-sleeved-cable-red-60cm-4-pack-cm-111-cm.html

and simply do the cables myself, with my PSU's stock plugs, correct? Are there any tools needed for the process that I should be aware of?

Thanks again

@LainVonDark you could but yes this would require several different tools.

@CableMod Is there anywhere where I can find the list of tools required?

@LainVonDark based on your previous comments I'm assuming you're in the EU, I'm not familiar with where to purchase the tools over there admittedly, my apologies.

I would bet overclockers.co.uk would have the required tools though.

@CableMod Yes, I am. I can find where to get the tools without a problem, however, I I could hear from you specifically what the required tools are I'd feel a bit more secure on what to buy

@LainVonDark pin extracting tools, a crimper, a knife, heat gun, heat shrink, and wire stripper are the common tools
