So, it's been a while. Haven't been gaming that much or even using my PC for stuff other than YouTube or shopping for car parts. I sold my GTX 1060 SSC 6GB, so right now my specs are as follows:

i5 4570

Cooler Master Seidon 120V

AsRock B85M-ITX

16GB AData Premier Pro DDR3-1600

Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

Define Nano S

EVGA BQ 650W

I want to get back into gaming, so I think I'll put off my car parts for now and get some nice shiny new hardware. A GPU upgrade (actually, a GPU in general) is a must. With that I will probably need a new CPU to prevent bottlenecks. I want to keep my Define Nano S and do a fully custom liquid loop, for the CPU and GPU, whatever they end up being.

I think the only things I will carry over are the case, RAM (unless the new CPU needs DDR4), PSU, and SSD.

So far I was thinking of a Ryzen build, or maybe a 6600K or whatever the hell we are at by now (like I said it's been a while since I've even touched PC parts, I haven't been keeping up with anything new). For the GPU I was thinking of a GTX 1070, seems to be a good choice for 1080P 144Hz.

What do you guys think? And how much am I looking at for a custom loop? I think the Nano S can fit a 240mm in the front and on top, so I will do dual 240mm rads with a CPU and GPU block. Also, does the Nano S have some sort of reservoir mount? It has these slotted things that I forgot what they do.

Damn, can't believe we're at the 7600K already...

Anyways this is what I am thinking for hardware. I don't know if that i5 will bottleneck or not. I am very much liking the price of it though, not sure if that's because of the Ryzen CPUs or something.

I think that i5 can still handle a 1070

I second this. Intel cpus have not changed all that much since 4th gen i3 i5 i7 in terms of gaming. Just get a gtx 1070 and call it a day ( or a 1080 if you are feeling adventurous).

If I'm getting a custom loop then I'm willing to upgrade the chip. No point in having a custom loop with a 4570.
