Hidden file on drive

Hi so basically I installed Windows 10 on my friends harddrive then turned it off. I took this drive and put in my computer to copy a 30gb file over and then put it back in his computer but he claims he cannot see it.

I tried doing that hidden folder thing but it still didnt seem to work. The file seems to be there because the space has been used but we just cannot find it. How would we go about accessing the file? He only has 1 HDD (Local Disk C)

Where did you put the file on his hard drive?

I just copied it to where all the folders are like Programs Files, Windows, Nvidia etc.

Yea man thats the one, it was in a folder when I copied it so it should've been there

Does the hard drive is an internal disk of your friend's computer? 

What's the type of the 30 GB file you copied? 

Is it possible that you didn't copy that file successfully due to lack of space? 

Anyway, it is wried to use an internal hard disk as a data transfer tool. Maybe try USB flash drive or external hard drive next time. Chances are that the internal disk cannot be perfectly installed on another computer.
