Help with FreeNAS sharing

You will need to provide a little more information than that, what have you done so far, what does your config look like, what errors/troubles are you running into?

so im running FreeNAS corral, i have a RAID 1 array im trying to set up CIFS sharing however i cant find it anywhere what else do you wanna know?

It's called SMB in 9.10/10/Corral. So you need to create a dataset, then go to Storage > Shares and create a new share from there. I'm doing it from memory as don't have it in front of me just now but I think that's what the menus are.

Please mark as answered if it helped :)

 

The reason you are probably not seeing it picked up automatically, is that you haven't joined the machine to the same workgroup/domain as your other machines.
