Second 1080, or 1080Ti

Hmmm since all 3 screens have Gsync, additional frame variance won't be as bad, so get another 1080, and 1080 SLI is better than 1080 Ti in the games that support SLI.

A single 1080 Ti won't help nearly as much as a second 1080 in SLI with 3x 1440p.

Hmm, guessing i'm going with a second 1080. Will the two draw much heat?

Just make sure you have at least a 650-750W PSU of high-quality. I would probably water-cool or get an FE for the top card.

I have a 1000W G2, so I should be fine. I'm pretty much wiping my savings with this buy, so I may have to wait a while for watercooling... will I be fine till then?

I live in Texas, and have been using multi GPU systems for 10 years. IMHO, the amount of heat multi GPU systems push out is over exaggerated. Even during the summertime, where we see temperatures of up to 110F, I'm not bothered in my room. Having my computer on with my RoG Swift and 2 UHDTVs only raises the ambient temp from about 78F to 83F.

 

But then again, comfort within ambient temperature is subjective.

Yes, you will. Remember to place the FE so that the blower is covered by the 2nd card.
