I was curious if anyone ever modded their peripherals. Im not sure how many parts of your mice, keysboard, and most important, headset, can be disassembled for painting.

Since its possible with a graphicscard, why not try it on a bunch of other stuff. :)

because paint tends to peel off when rubbed, and it adds weight, etc. not worth it imo.

Well, I have modded headphones in the past. I have mainly painted them, but I have also made mods to change the sound of some headphones.

I guess I've modded my keyboard aswell (in the lightest sense of the word).

I have installed custome O-rings to make the travel a bit shallower and I've replaced most of the keycaps with metal keycaps.

Depends. There are a lot of companies that make metal keycaps and in my experience they vary a lot in quality.

It also depends on the quality of the keycaps you're replacing. Some plastic keycaps wear down faster than others.

The only thing I dislike about metal keycaps is that they're really loud when you bottom them out, which is why I had the O-rings made.
