Again :( freezing & buzzing(audio not PC)

So I build a PC that from either day 1 or a couple days later messes up. It freezes and makes a buzzing noise.

I just noticed that both times I didnt actually protect myself correctly from static. First time I had an anti static wrist band on the PSU but the PSU was not on the on position it was just plugged into wall. The second time it was plugged in to an extender that was on the off position still had anti static. First time I was on tile second time I was on i think its called linoleum the plastic floor thing for kitchen.

The problem I am having is that when I watch videos(fast usually within 2 minutes) or playing a game(takes longer to happen),  the computer freezing and a buzzing noise from audio begins. I should mention here I dont have a GPU and I am using pirate Win7 Ultimate, BUT I have tried using the Win8.1 Beta and it still failed. Except it wasnt freezing it was giving me errors and restarting.

I replaced all hardware I have and each time i received a piece I tried to see if it got fixed by using it. Finally the PSU was last and when I plugged it in and turned PC on there was a smell of smoke that came from somewhere, it seemed to be from the area around mobo/CPU/RAM. I KNOW EVERYTHING WAS CONNECTED PROPERLY. I turned off PC and thought f***k it wont turn on anymore, I decided to try to turn it on after smell went away, it turned on and no smoke smell. I was excited but then I watched a video and BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ, it froze.

My thought now is just RMA everything all at once and then re do everything only once all the parts have came, this time quintuplet check if I have the PSU plugged in to wall socked in the ON position while touching all components.\

I smelled smoke from PC once before I messed it up. It was really old and i didnt care for toching anything wthout protection I just touched away, I was on carpet to.

Does anyone know what the cause may be? Also can I be given specific instructions on how to avoid static.

Can it be becasue:

1) static

2) no GPU

3) OS even though I did try a legit win

4) something else

5) this PSU just made it happen and the first time prob was something else, or maybe both times the PSU messed up

\

Would Intel, Crucial, MSI, Western Digital be willing to send yet another replacement. I know thermaltake would. SHould I mention to them about the smoke smell

I have tried reseting the PC ALOT to see if it was software aslong on the win7 Ultimate is good copy its not software. I have recreated this with raw PC, Win update, PC part updates, both updates. I have gotten this both in case and out of case(Phantom Enthusiast)

I dont know what else i need to say. So just ask whatever question

Thank you in advance

You definitely shorted something then. A part giving off smoke wouldn't have passed QC.

Don't use same PSU that is plugged on hardware you are working on. I've used my kitchen lamp with anti-static wrist band on wooden table. While mobo has been out of case, it has always been on that plastic bag its delivered.

I'm thinking that problem has been with PSU from beginning. Now you'r only choise is to re-rma everything or try to test them one by one with another mobo.

How do I go about using a lamp. Should I have it on (giving light) and where do I connect the anti-static wrist band, the bulb metal part(if even possible).
