Windows 10 free (not piracy)

NSDUO

Ok so I'm on a budget and my friend told me that I can install windows an activate windows later when I have the cash, but I can change the background and there will be a activate windows watermark. Is that all? And I was using his computer (he runs 8.1 as his main os and dual boots 10) and when I went full screen the watermark went away. Is that true, that when I go full screen the watermark goes away?

With windows 7, you'd have a black background and in all corners a message that windows wasn't activated. If I would change backgrounds, it would go to black again after 30 minutes or so. Didn't really notice anything else, but I like things to be simple.

Also, not sure if you will be able to get updates and use the "ai".

Windows 10 can be used for life without activating it.

All you get is the "Activate Windows" message on the bottom right monitor

Nope. Its transparent.

I only notice it while my screen is black but even then its not too noticeable.

I would like to remind everyone that the forum doesn't allow to speaking about piracy.

And yes, you can get direct banned if you do.

It is against the forum Community Standards which you can read here:

TLDR can you get away with not activating windows: yes

Legally you are suppose to buy a license. The post above said you can buy keys cheap but this is a pointless waste of money because a key is not a license and you are just paying to bypass windows activation; which may cause problems later. MS does give you some incredible leniency in using windows 10 without activation. Theres no technology-based punishment other than a water mark and you will not be able to set your favourite my little pony background picture.

The only way to really get free or cheap windows is to go through your school, non-profit charity, or attend promotional events.
