CS:GO ping issues

Running speedtest.net my ping is about 20 ms, but in CS it NEVER goes under 150. What could cause this, and what do i do to fix it?

But for things you can try I don't have much.

If your on wireless, try a wired connection.

Definitly on wired.

Yeah it gets really annoying. Might try some other network cables, as this never used to happen.

Huh. I hit the "verify game install files" button and it installed one thing and now it works.

I fixed it! I hit the Verify game files button in steam and it reinstalled some directx components.
