Broke my windows install with linux, safely reinstall with files?

Can you boot to UEFI? Get an external HDD and a USB drive, install Ubuntu on it, and boot into the Ubuntu live CD. Mount your SSD, get all the files off it, then disconnect the internal HDD. Reboot. Reinstall Windows.

I recently tried a dual boot. Long story short it screwed up and broke windows, giving me boot errors. I've removed linux from my HDD but windows still wont boot, even after running fixmbr, fixboot, and rebuldbcd from windows repair CMD.

If i reinstall windows from a USB, will I be able to keep my files? most of my important files are safely on my HDD, but i would like to not wipe my SSD.

This ended up being my only option, Its what I did and it worked great. Got the few important files I had on my SSD off to another USB and wiped the SSD.
