Headphone suggestion

I'm looking for some audiofile headphones.

7.1 surround prefered.

Not too much bass.

Must sound way better than Astro headphones.

Absolutely no microphone.

Cabled.

$300 preferred. $500 max.

I don't think you'll find any "audiophile" headphones that has 7.1 surround. 

And if you really need 7.1 surround there are software solutions for virtual 7.1 surround. 

 

For $300 you should be able to pick up a pair of Sennheiser HD600s (or HD6xx if they're going to be on Massdrop again).

That would be my immidiate recommendation,
