770+8320 sub $700?

xaviersykora

Hello! I have been posting lots of things lately on this forum, sorry if I have annoyed anybody! But now I am wondering if I could fit an 8320 and a GTX 770 in a build together without a case/HD/OS/peripherals. I would like 8GB of ram(in dual channel) and if I can, some overclocking/SLI. Also, I dont do MIRs and dont count discounts on newegg because those may go away by the time I buy this.

Thanks!

Oh really?

Yeah, really. As in that's a negative ghost rider, not possible.

That 970 G43 is not overclocking friendly at all, to be frank that board should be safe up to only a 95w CPU but for some odd reason was approved for 125w. It also is NOT SLI compatible (16x/4x) but can do crossfire, albeit half-assed and probably stuttery. The CX certainly isn't bad, but I would invest in something better.

That build also factors in rebates, so try again. Cheapest board that will work here is an 990FX ASrock, but that will cost you an additional 30-40$

@CoolBeans can help you fix that.
