Hey guys,

at the moment I have a membrane keyboard, and I don't hate it but I do make errors quite often and I can't type superfast.

I have never used a mechanical keyboard, so I don't know the difference. I also don't have a huge amount of money, but I could spend some on a keyboard if it brings an improvement.

I don't care about fancy lighting, and I use my keyboard for both gaming and work.

Is it really worth it to buy a keyboard, and if yes, do you know any good, affordable ones?

I live in the Netherlands and I would prefer to spend less than 50 euros on it if possible.

i have heard about mem-chanical keyboards which seems pretty nice for a affordable price but im not sure

what im using mechanical keyboard is "motospeed ck-104", with blue switches which is pretty loud but pleasurable + rgb blacklight and im pretty happy with it

what you should aim is for a brown or red switches if you mind how loud can mechanical keyboards do but if you don't, blue would be perfect for fast typing

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...

Here's a  list,

I suggest this one specifically as it has blue switches and blues are the best for typing

blue switches are shit for games, but really nice for typing. browns are nice for both. anyway stay away from Razer switches and Khali switches, they are shit and also be carefull not to get a "mechbrane" or "like mechanical" keyboard seeing as they are still just membrane.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Then u need to learn about mechanical switches first.

see this GIF right here and there are a lot of mechanical switches out there like from outemu or kaihl which are considered as cherry mx knock off.

Cheap mechanical keyboard will  usually has Blue switches made by chinese, which is not bad but it will not as good as cherry or other respectable brands so dont expect long lifespan from it.

If u like to type choose blue or brown as they are a tactile switches.

If u are a gamer choose Red or Black as they are linear but i still prefer brown or blues i just love those tactile feeling.

anyway the choice is yours.

after getting to know keyboard switches more i feel that other alps and so on, that slide shows the basics but there are so many more switches out there.
