Hey guys,

I want to buy 2 x 8GB DDR3 ECC DIMM's (either 1333Mhz or 1600mhz)

Will

http://www.intelligentservers.co.uk/components/hp-8gb-1x8gb-single-rank-x4-pc3-12800r-ddr3-1600-registered-cas-11-memory-kit-647899-b21-664691-001/

Work with

http://manuals.ts.fujitsu.com/file/10327/tx100s3-d3009-tm-en.pdf

and I assume it will work with

https://ark.intel.com/products/65734/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1220-v2-8M-Cache-3_10-GHz

If it will work:

1) Is it a good deal?

2) Will 16GB be enough for about 3-5VM's running on Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Edition?

If it won't work:

1) Why not?

2) What exactly do I need to buy?

I wouldn't risk that personally unless you can return it easily - HP memory (I know its manufactured by Samsung) often doesn't play with any other manufacturer at all, from my slightly limited testing previously.

Use either this website:

https://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory-ram-upgrades/fujitsu-siemens/primergy/tx100-s3-d3009

Or the crucial site to list compatible memory kits:

http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Fujitsu/primergy-tx100-s3

These are UK sites but should have US equivalents or you can at least get the part numbers and find them manually.
