Are you planning on just adding soldered connections you can simply get single pin dupont cables and wire them up one at a time to your internal headers.

I want to take them off the pcb (and leave audio headers) so I have custom 2 USB front panel

That can work if you just need two front mount USB headers there are flush mount or friction mount types also:
