Is this PSU strong enough?

RyanCyan

I currently run a GTX 645 with a 240w PSU (it's an external AC Adapter if that matters) and I would like to upgrade to the rx470. Will I have to upgrade my power supply and if so, what do you recommend?

Thanks,
Ryan

Yes, 240w would be pushing the bare minimum. Upgrade to at least a 400w PSU. You can look in my signature for a link to a PSU tier thread. You would want to get one from Tier 1, 2 or 3 for best performance and maximum reliability.

240w PSU

PSUs degrade over time, i suggest you get a new one at least 430 to 500w. 245 watt should cut it but not a good idea.what psu do you have?

nope, get a new psu, i am not sure about your power delivery, if a standard ATX PSU will fit.
