Should I replace my gpu thermal paste?

Hi I have a msi gtx 980ti(1.6 years old already)  and I was thinking of replacing it to get better temps...as of now my tems on idle is 41 then on load it reaches to 77-80 depending what game I'm playing(witcher 3 taxes it very hard). what do you guys think?is it worth it changing the paste to arctic mx4...My friend also told me that it aint worth it cause its still on the safe temps

I'm not really sure you have to. if you can do it, then try, but I am pretty sure it isn't going to help at all...
