System Upgrade

My friend is looking to beef up his system for next gen games, he currently has a 8320 and a 7850...his upgrade options are:

Add more ram for 16gb total

Get a second 7850

Or get a 770

Get the 770. I did the same, 7850-770 and I got a huge performance boost. I can play pretty much anything I throw at it at ultra settings.

wouldnt go for ram because 8 gb is usually enough, i would go for gtx 770 but you ould also go for 280x if you like amd more

a GTX 770 will be your best bet :)

How about something like 7970. They can be about the same price as a 770 or cheaper, now that the new amd series is out and they perform very good.

Oh, and upgrading ram to 16gb is pointless for gaming.

280x, better at higher resolutions like 1440p if he wishes to upgrade later. 

Stay with 8GB of ram unless 16GB is necessary.

you'll see a greater improvement with a GTX770 than any of your other options. get a GTX770
