I bought an Alienware 13 R2 used off of eBay, and when I turned it on, I noticed that the backlight was stuck as full brightness. The buttons didn't work and the brightness slider didn't do anything. I tried everything. I updated the BIOS, chipset, updated both the iGPU and dGPU drivers, switched the GPU for the display, and switched the driver, but nothing affected it. Now, just tonight, for whatever reason, the backlight does not work within Windows. It turns on in the BIOS to show the Alienware loading screen and the Windows boot screen, but refuses to turn on when in Windows. Does anyone have any idea what is happening?

@Snikerdoodlz maybe return it? Seems like a shit second hand unit. You're still protected from receiving defective products.
