So the "case" (see what I did there? xD) is that I am looking towards getting a new PC chassie in the near future. But I am having a hard time finding a case that fulfill my needs. As I am a rather picky person. So I am wondering if you guys know anny extraordinary cases cooling vise. I am curently using the Phantom 630, and it is a pretty good case for cooling. But I find myself unsatesfied with the small window, and by how large it is compared to the cooling oppeetuneties. I have been looking into the Corsair Air 540, which is a superb case in my mind. But it is simply to small to fit what I want in it. I am looking for something where I can fit a lot of fans, and rads, but still have a large window. And I love cases with such features as ssd mounts on the back of the MoBo tray, clips to hold cables, and other fancy feature to make my case look a bit cleener. :) "just buy a 900D" some may say. But I am getting so tired of not being able to carry my PC and still see where I am going. So if annyone could help me finding a compact case, with plenty of cooling options, and with a large window. Then I would be eternaly gratefull :)

Air 540 and 750d yes. TBH I think case cooling is over rated though. I have two reference 7970's Xfired OC'd to their tits and a 3770 OCed as well and I only use two case fans. One in, one out. More fans is just going to mean more noise and more dust and clearly 2 is suffice. Unless your talking rads?

Oh right. Well theres my opinion on case cooling anyway lol.

Yep, I actually agree, unless you want to watercool, two or three fans is plenty in a mid sized case, maybe not in a behemoth like the 900D though. I'm not actually a big fan of that case. I really like my SG09 SFF case...

Oh yeah I agree. If you can get equal performance from SFF what reason do you have for anything larger?

I'm thinking a nice Sugo would be great for a Steam box when the OS is released.

Definitely, every time I pull my PC apart I marvel at how well designed my case is, it fits EVERYTHING I could ever want in it and it is smaller than the bitfenix prodigy! If I want I can SLI / CFX or I can have sound cards, and up to 6 HDD. (2x3.5" and 4x2.5")

Wow sweet that's impressive. I can't wait to make something like that for my Steam machine.

More fans is just going to mean more noise

Uh no it doesn't. One 20db fan will make just as much noise as two 20db fans. Some fans can have quirks and minor tolerance differences that can 'fill out' the fan sound though, which would make the sound 'meatier' but it's not going to become louder.

Also, the bigger the fan, the lower frequency the noise and the more it blends in with the ambience.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

If that is so then why was the 20 fan rad for ttl so loud. that was at least 50db

Stacking equivalent noise sources is louder, Google it. And anyway its still just more expensive and more dust in your case.

Have you seen what the actual steam machine by valve is going to have as a case? it looks insane! I think it is only ITX though and I think it only have one HHD bay.

Well,

I use the Corsair 900d... and yes it is heavy as hell. Lucky for me I work out and like the case a lot lol :D .

But have you looked at the Corsair 540 ? It says Aircool blabla but I am very sure with this much of space it is very easy to put decent watercooling in it.

Before I bought the 900d I had the 540 as well in my mind. And it is a lot cheaper than the 900d.

You are correct there is an arc XL, but its worthless as it offer nothing more then HDD cages and 5.25 inch places over the midi and being pointlessly bigger.

(and the midi is cheaper go figure)
