I mean, he can choose his RAM, I just chose this one because it was cheap and I've seen mixed reviews, but it's overclockable and it's 3000 MHz.

Corsair vengance LPX can do way better, for just a few dollars...

Not only will it cool it but may even get a little overclock out of it.

Ok but still 212 evo might struggle during games

@Zackbare yeah, I've already told you I just put in the cheapest 16GB RAM modules I've found, he can get different ones if he doesn't like them.

Dude you're being wrong in every aspect, compare stuffs with the same costs, think of going a bit different too. and cooler is not a good go to keep as future upgrade, he might as well should go for stock then.

Alright I'm out. we are In the realm of opinions here now. I made him the fastest build for under $1200. anything else is just semantics.

You don't need to get angry about it, but dude compare stuffs, you're like not even looking to compare things.

We don't mean to oppose/offend you, sorry if you felt like that.

And as I think, @DustHaze will be playing 1080p, so better processor is recommended which 6600k would do..

So no need for 1080, as 1080p gaming is more reliable on CPU than higher resolutions. So doesn't need to go full high end on GPU.

I'm gonna play on 144hz

I'm not mad. (hard to convey emotion with text). I feel like we have given him plenty to think about and the ultimate decision is up to @DustHaze.

Yes, in some case maybe over 150, coz GPU and CPU both are great.

@DustHaze ok, took me a while but look at this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZdgRyf

I included no PSU seeing that you already have one, but you should probably get a better one later. As for the motherboard, you don't need a Maximum X whatever gaming one, they're almost exclusively for enthusiasts and you'll jsut be using it for casual games, oh, and did I mention this one had USB Type-C? yeah. futureproofness man. The RAM was just really cheap. CPU is overclockable and you don't really need an i7 for games. The SSD is NVME and you can get your OS in there (and a few other things) and the HDD is a WD so a lot of reliability. As for the GPU, EVGA is an excellent brand and I've seen many good reviews of that 1070. The case is arguably one of the best cases around for that price and it even includes RBG lighting. I don't think you need an AIO for this since it's a Kaby Lake i5 and they run pretty cool, even when overclocked. This build can easily last you 5+ years IMO and there's always the chance for upgrading. That's why I put $90 on the case, it's a good inversion.

in euros this is over 1350 dollars

one last try.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/kxCfCy

sorry no SSD.

7700k

GTX1080

Noctua NH-D14

We can save money by getting a 1070 and 6600k, as the gaming is 1080p and get an SSD and Vegance LPX.

(Yes, I'm serious I'll still stick to that opinion)

Z170 is the only chipset which can overclock skylake(now even z270). Deepcool PSU is a good one. You can check PSU tier list and both PSUs are in same tier.
