Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4gb OC Fan Curve

That's what I was thinking but i'm partial about my fan curve because it isn't as smooth of a transition when temps get higher. Kinda picky about that thinking it would affect the durability of the fans.

I doubt it would affect that. You could make the curve a bit more linear but it shouldn't make much of a difference.

Recently got a 480 to replace a dying 970, overclocked this thing to 1380core/2250memory stable.

This is the fan curve I have right now and I just wanted to know if it looks okay, i was maxing out @ 74-75c when i was at 1350core/2100memory (without overvoltage)

Now I'm maxing out at 77c@1.25v.

So, does the fan curve/temps look okay or do i have to adjust it? Thanks!

If you're fine with the noise and it's not going above 80C it should be totally fine.

I used trixx for that, it's a lot nicer than AF for sapphire cards specifically. But you shouldn't be getting into the ridiculous noise range until you get well into the 65% fan speed range but I find 50% can keep 70c or so comfortably

I can't handle the new UI for trixx, idk it just feels cluttered in a way (but that's just me). I'll try setting up again later and see what I can come up with. Thanks! Yeah 50% can easily keep the card cool, unlike my zotac 970 before which I had at 100% and it was barely keeping it below 85c LOL

Was quite the opposite for me... found it annoying to do any kind of undervolting with AF since it always too my voltage + or - 2 from what I actually wanted... I still think sapphire did a shit job with the polaris gen cards and cooling usually they're way better than most

I actually have the same problem with AF! I thought it was only me, the problem I have with trixx though is that the voltage numbers looks like they're in hex, odd. Maybe because I had afterburner open simultaneously? Have you had that problem with trixx before too?

I honestly just got a 480 as a placeholder till the next or next gen cards and it was the cheapest I can get vs a 1060, this is a 4gb card btw and it had samsung chips that's why I was able to push it from 1750 to 2250!

Yeah and it made my computer crash a lot... had to uninstall AF and trixx then reninstall both but use AF from monitoring and trixx for voltage bad fan curve
