My First build and help me please

DustHaze

Hi guys^_^

After digging deep in the web and going in lots of comments and arguments I finally have a complete build for 1200 euros   https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/D6chZ8

but I'm still not sure enough to risk buying these parts without a good review from you guys so I need your advise and opinions about it.

My main focus is Gaming and I might do overclocking as well.

Could potentially save some money from going to a Seagate Barracuda HDD instead of the Firecuda, unless I'm mistaken in that having a Hybrid drive is useful, even when having an SSD drive for the boot drive and some storage.

Current System Specs:

CPU: Intel I5-7660K; CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212X; Thermal Paste: IC Diamond 7 Carat; Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon;

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8gb) DDR4 - 2400; SSD Storage: 1TB Samsung 850 EVO; Storage: 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm;

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 8gb G1 Gaming; Case: NZXT Phantom 530 Black; PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W 80+ Gold, OS: Windows 10 Home

I agree, you don't need hybrid drives, an SSD would do fine

Thats a good idea but i'm afraid about games performance, in general having an sshd can save me money because HDD  fail quickly. have in mind I use my pc a lot.

Well the longevity of HDD is not that short at all. And performance in game would be better if you invest in a slightly larger SSD like 240GB for example

Hmm, but capacity of sdd won't be impact the preformace... does it?

Larger SSD usually are faster (but you won't notice it)

I am using a Samsung Evo in my build, they are pricey, but well-made.

WD or Seagate HDD, the Barracuda line-up from Seagate is quite good, and I haven't had problems w/ Seagate HDD's in the past.

If you are worried about HDD failure and the loss of important data (photos, etc.) just make sure you have back-ups that are external, such as External HDD's.
