What do you guys think will be a good processor pair (amd) for a gtx 670? Because I currently have a amd a6 3670k clocked at 3.2 Ghz and I'm afraid that in the future if I do possibly get my hands on a gtx 670 for my rig that the processor that i currently have will bottleneck it.

AMD FX 6300 or above or any i5 will go alright with it. Obviously the higher the better.

If you looking for a CPU on the cheap I'ld recommend the 6300 and get a 212 evo, will overclock like a boss and perform very well :)

any specific board to go along with that?

You can get the video card now and save up for a new CPU and motherboard. If you get the FX 6300, you'll need a new motherboard because of the differing socket.

Will the bottleneck effect be noticable?

If you're looking to have the largest performance boost with your first upgrade, go for a new graphics card. Your cpu should hold you over without impacting you too heavily until you can get a new one.

I ran a 560 ti with my ol q8400 for around a year until i could foot an i5, then I didn't notice a massive difference with the games at the time. You'll be right ;)

Yes, an A6 will hinder its performance greatly!

I could overclock it to 3.6 which is the max. The temps right now are pretty good only hitting 40c on load.

I'd give it a nice overclock. That'll help until you can get afford a new CPU and board.

Here's a whole list of 270X's. Many of which are using aftermarket coolers. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=R9+270X&N=-1&isNodeId=1

A 750K/760K would be a good upgrade.
