I am finally moving from console gaming to PC but the game I mostly play is CS:GO and thats about it since I normally play on a MacBook Air. My budget is low so I found something at Walmart to start out with. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Acer-AXC-704G-UW61-Desktop-PC-with-Intel-Celeron-N3050-Processor-4GB-Memory-500GB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-10-Monitor-Not-Included/46356507

I was wondering if this tower would be able to run CS:GO smoothly enough for me to play. Thank you for any replies.

Eh that's not really going to be a great experience.

Are you selling the old console?  Remember a desktop will be both an actual computer and a gaming machine, so I'd recommend trying to get closer to 500 dollars.

This page has a good list of builds at different price points: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/wiki/builds

The cheapest build is above your budget but a lot better for CS:GO.

Whatever you buy, it'll be faster than Macbook air, atleast those won't have thermal throttling...

Nah, not even close. The N3050 isn't even close to the i5s included with the Macbook Air, don't think throttling would ever cause a N3050 to beat something like a i5-5250U.

For CS:GO you really need a high-end CPU, my i3-4160 only manages ~150fps on ultra (with a GTX 970) - but the CPU is the bottleneck, and the same can be said for most source engine 2 games, as the engine is relatively reliant on the CPU, so if possible go for the best CPU you can (i3, i5 minimum).
