So my pc was running very hot and i thought i shoud clean everything inside the cpu..

I removed the cpu heatsink and fan and there was some green thing which was not thermal pate on cpu as well as processor top...

I tried hard to remove it with cotton cloth but didnt work..

So I took a sand paper and rubbed it on both cpu and heatsink...

Now when I turn on the computer all fans are running and motherboard LED is also on but NO DISPLAY is showing..

Even BIOS setup isnt opening..

I also turned PSU fan from pushing air outside to pulling air inside,,\

Also i didnt wear anything for static electricity..

Can anyone tell me something about what has happened and what can I try now,,,

I tried CMOS update by removing battery as well but didnt work

HELP!!

What ?

if you used sandpaper you need to make sure you have the smoothest surface possible you don't want any deep grooves that could be caused by low grit sandpaper.  the higher the number the finer/smoother it can make what you sanded.
