Help choosing a CPU

I was going to, but I was looking for something that I could buy now.

Look into the Xeon E5-1650 ($100 6 core/12 Thread CPU, overclockable), the E5-2670 ($70 8 core/16 thread CPU, non overclockable), the Intel Core i7-2600K and the i7-3770K....

So, after using an AMD FX-8350 for 6 months, I began to notice that it was bottle necking my GTX 1060 in games like Ark: Survival Evolved and when playing a local game with bots in CS: GO. What are some good 8 core/4 core with hyper threading CPU s for cheap? I've been looking at some old used Xeons on eBay, any other recommendations?

As someone already said. Wait for Ryzen 5. Its not a long wait, just be patient its gonna be worth the wait

TBH, we can't be sure. The 1400 will be a 2+2 core CPU. We don't know how that will affect gaming performance....

If im not wrong the 1400 is a 4 cores 8 threads CPU. check yer facts m8

It has 2 quad core CCXs with 2 cores disabled in each CCX, so it is a 2+2 core CPU with 8 threads...

yeah but it cant hurt to wait. at this point it is so close to release that it would be a shame if it was released and ended up being really good but op missed out on a good cpu because they couldn't wait a short amount of time. also i wonder what op meant by cheap because without a clear defined price range for a cheap cpu the you cant really know what would be a good cpu for cheap.
