oke that's clear enough, so it'll be fine if i buy 2 1x4b memory. it was the same memory.

Yeah if you're buying two packs of the same ram that's basically the same thing as buying a 2x4 GB kit.

HI, Guys, i need help.

my motherboard has 2 slot memory, and currently i have 4gb ddr4 2133mhz from apacer, that memory is a single stick, i want to know, is it ok if i add 1 more single stick on to my motherboard? so that running dual channel? i was confused about single or dual channel, my friend told me that 1x4gb + 1x4gb it can't running on dual channel? was it right?

i also want to buy a new memory, here's on my local store, if i buy 2 (1x4gb ddr4) less cheaper than if i buy (2x4gb ddr4) kit...that what makes me confused. both have the same speed.

my motherboard is gigabyte ga h110m ds2, thank you in advance good people..

you can add any ddr4 ram you wont. but your pc will use the settings of the slower ones

what is your ram budget?

Match timings and speed to ensure better compatibility. Having two sticks of ram in the matching slots runs them in dual channel mode.

cause if i buy 2 1x4gb stick i can save a few bucks rather if i buy 2x4gb kit, so that i don't have to pay more for shipping fee. thanks for your answer.

its fine i tried just to see if it was working to add my old 8 gb ram stick alongside with my 2 16gb and it worked fine but the settings change to the slower ram so i removed it
