Yes, clear CMOS and try again... could be an OC problem if you have one? or a driver fault even, but try clearing CMOS first.

its a driver or overclock issue- it works on my mobos integrated graphics but not with my GPU

Yes. So if you reinstall Windows this issue will be resolved :)

itll be a pain- is there another way?

Boot into safe mode and uninstall drivers with DDU. Then boot into normal Windows and reinstall GPU drivers.

I'm not quoting you to shitpost or anything, just highlighting where you went wrong... if you ever have problems with BSOD, first rule of thumb is take off ANY OC settings. Doesn't matter IMO that it's GPU OC, because as you found out it was that which was making the problem. Even if you think it might not be the problem, do it anyway. That way you have a level playing field again from which to begin troubleshooting further if needed. I'm not saying this to ridicule you or anything, we have all been guilty of having a bias of opinion and not doing something even though we should, at some point in out lives..I know I have, so don't worry about it :)

Main thing is you got the problem fixed that was causing your freezing problem, and can learn from this. Glad you got it sorted mate.
